So, without further ado, let’s get 77-ing!

My choice for this week’s 77 Saturday Post is:

Earlier this year I had the utter joy of reading and reviewing Mika and Max by Laura Bloom – it’s such a heart warming story of friendship!

I recieved a review copy of this book from Walker Books Australia.

Title: Mika and Max

Author: Laura Bloom

Excerpt:

‘Mika gently prodded Max, but instead of moving forward as she exexpected, he turned and darted past her back up the stairs. He liked stairs, Mika remembered Sam saying. He liked climbing up and down them.’

My Thoughts:

I utterly adored this Middle Grade story of friendship when one feels most alone and not expecting to find a friend. Mika is a young girl rereluctantly with her parents and their family friends on holiday, going to visit a music festival, when she meets her parents friends’ young son, Max, who doesn’t verbally communicate. What follows is an utterly heartfelt story with a lot of soul within!

If you fancy giving Mika and Max a read, you can add it to your Goodreads TBR:
