Goodreads Sypnosis:

The first collection of poetry by Instagram sensation Atticus.

Love Her Wild is a collection of new and beloved poems from Atticus, the young writer who has captured the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of avid followers on his Instagram account @atticuspoetry, including superstars like Karlie Kloss and Shay Mitchell. He was dubbed the “#1 poet to follow” by Teen Vogue and “the world’s most tattoo-able” poet by Galore magazine, in Love Her Wild, Atticus captures what is both raw and relatable about the smallest and the grandest moments in life: the first glimpse of a new love in Paris; skinny dipping on a summer’s night; the irrepressible exuberance of the female spirit; or drinking whiskey in the desert watching the rising sun. With honesty, poignancy, and romantic flair, Atticus distills the most exhilarating highs and the heartbreaking lows of life and love into a few perfectly evocative lines, ensuring that his words will become etched in your mind—and will awaken your sense of adventure.

My Review:

That was utterly breathtaking; I need more of Atticus now! Divided into three sections; Love, Her and Wild – these poems really impacted me and made me appreciate not only the simple things, but even more, me as a being – and I love the sense of adventure that was container inside these poems. These words speak to my soul, and honestly I think I can see why Atticus is a sensation! every poem had love rooted deep inside its core; and within the words, I felt so much emotion! And accompanied by the gorgeous, yet simplistic images; this made for an utterly inspiring read!
Excerpts from “Love”
“I just need

“Watch carefully

The magic that occurs

When you give a person

Enough comfort

To just be themselves.”

Excerpts from “Her”

“She was the wild thing I loved.

My dark between the stars.”

“Her soul dwelled in the wild parts

Of her heart

To the music

It found there.”

“She want waiting for a knight

She was waiting for a sword.”

“Excerpts from Wild”

“Go forth and conquer

For all the world is small

And you are a giant

And every step

You take

Will make the ground shake

As it rises

To meet you.”

“Art takes time —

Monet grew his gardens

Before he painted them.”

“Let my death be a long and magnificent life.”

How amazing are these excerpts? I definitley felt teary when I was reading them, but uplifted at the same time – I couldn’t get enough of these and Atticus has definitley got me longing for more.

Until next time, happy reading💕
