Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.
I had longtime been looking forward to reading this book, and after I read book 2 once more, I knew I was ready to dive in!
This book takes place after the rather heart wrenching events that happened at the end of book 1, so the feelings were definitely there! I felt like I was right where we left off, and things had changed! Lara Jean had grown a lot during the first book, and even more so in book two! This book had it all! I loved the dynamic between Lara Jean and her cousins’, and I loved seeing the three sisters back together! Although Margot of course has to return to University, it was great to read about her and see her with her sister’s again! Although there was definitley a lot of sassy Kitty scenes, which I couldn’t get enough of! And I loved the new addition of Stormy, a wise elderly lady that Lara Jean befriends whilst working at the Residential Home. She is such a crack up, and imparted a lot of wisdom to Lara Jean!
What surprised me in this book was how much a certain character changed; I felt like his dynamic was slightly off from the start, and was so irritated at how he was so understanding towards a certain character; it made my blood boil! But at the same time, I was constantly questioning why this was; because it was odd! And angsty! So this book definitely an all round feel-fest from the start!! But I couldn’t get enough! And there were definitley some unexpected occurrences; like when Lara Jean suggests they dig up their time capsule from when they were at high school; how that all played about and the rest of the book from then on surprised me in the best way!! I especially loved reading more about Stormy, as I said, and old faces from book 1 turning up! The writing truly was every bit as addictive and emotional as book 1, even more so! I didn’t want it to end! I am so excited to read book 3, but this is truly one of my favourite Contemporary series, if not my favourite! I will definitley be savouring the amticipation until I read book 3!
I’ll leave it there; but everyone must read this series! There’s something in it for all!
And that concludes my Review, until next time, happy reading:
