Sypnosis from Goodreads (contains spoilers for book 2):

Book Two of 1Q84 ended with Aomame standing on the Metropolitan Expressway with a gun between her lips.

She knows she is being hunted, and that she has put herself in terrible danger in order to save the man she loves.
But things are moving forward, and Aomame does not yet know that she and Tengo are more closely bound than ever.
Tengo is searching for Aomame, and he must find her before this world’s rules loosen up too much.
He must find her before someone else does.
My Thoughts:

Wow. What a freaking amazing conclusion! I could’ve never predict anything that was coming in that book! I read this in the space of a morning and a bit of an afternoon! I went through so many emotions but I feel like the intensity and mystery from books 1 and 2 were definitely heightened! There was no way I could’ve predicted what the characters would face and what they were to go through! The writing was amazing and enthralling as ever, I was hooked from the start and had no intention of putting this book down! I’d wondered how this book was to end and yes I was surprised and yes I actually wish there was more from these characters but in saying that I feel Murakami wrapped it all up perfectly and I can’t help but wonder of it was his intention to leave the reader thinking about Aoemame and Tengo! That I feel is a feeling I’ve had after finishing his books, and it’s one of the reasons I love Murakami so much!

And that concludes my review, until next time, happy reading,

Brooklyn 🙂
